Description
Kalamaria – Aretsou: The Aretsou Beach up to Nea Krini in 1932
Fishing nets hang on the Zergkia (wooden drying racks), while behind them stands the café of Kale, known as "Neraida" of Theodosis Kale. In the mornings, it serves as a meeting place for fishermen, and in the evenings, it transforms into a small seafood tavern. Perched on the rocky outcrop above is the establishment "Paradeisos" owned by Konstantakos.
On the sandy shore, two individuals are stitching the sail of their boat. Further in the background, the small tavern "Akrogiali" of Theologos Katsikis can be seen, which today houses the Port Authority.
Atop the cliff, the first building is the pastry shop "Ta Pefka" of Konstantinos Arampoglou and Anastasios, which has now been replaced by an apartment building. Next to it stands the establishment "Vosporos" of Penopoulos, which, as of 2024, is home to the Progressive Association of Aretsou-Derkoi and the Ouzeri en Plo.
Meanwhile, on the sandy shore, a couple sits with their child, taking in the serene seaside atmosphere.
