Zoodochos Pigi, Sianna

At a distance of about 3 kilometres from the church of Saint Panteleimon in the verdant area of Stelies, near the archaeological site of Kymisala, we find the church of Zoodochos Pigi [Virgin Mary, the life-giving font] (13th – 14th century A.D.). The church celebrates οn Easter Friday every year and it is a local pilgrimage for the regions of Kritinia, Embonas, Agios Isidoros, Monolithos and Sianna. During this day, an organized village feast takes place with live music and food in a suitably configured space. The area around the church has been recently renovated.
